CT9513 Servo Swing Motor Control Training System

CT9513 Servo Swing Motor Control Training System

Overview

The CT Series of modern process control systems allow students to study the principles of
industrial process control using stand-alone temperature, pressure, flow, level and servo pendulum
systems. Each unit has a built-in advanced digital controller/recorder with USB, WiFi, Bluetooth
and LAN communication capabilities.

Three sets of Windows PC software are provided free of charge: Basic Control, On-Off Control and
PID Control. The software includes all settings and functions as well as dynamically displayed
on-screen graphs of setpoints, process values and Kp, Ki and Kd terms in the control equations.

Data can be viewed on the internal graph or saved to a CSV file for later analysis.

The units are compatible with 110 – 240V operation provided the power is supplied. The units come
with full documentation including a unit reference manual and a course manual to guide students in
the use of process control systems.

An API is provided to make the units compatible with MATLAB, Labview or other software.

The units are suitable for students aged 16 and above studying instrumentation and control,
electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and other disciplines.

Introduction

The Servo Pendulum Motor Control Training System consists of a powerful DC motor mounted on a
sturdy frame. A disc with a fixing nut is attached to the DC motor, and students can screw 100-
gram weights into different positions of the disc to change the characteristics of the system. A
counterweight is added at the 0-degree position to form an inverted pendulum.
