AV5289 Wind Tunnel 125

AV5289 Wind Tunnel 125

Product Description

-The Matrix subsonic wind tunnel is compact and well suited for benchtop experiments. The Wind
Tunnel 125 is designed to teach aerodynamic principles and explore fluid flow from junior college
to undergraduate level. It features a computer-controlled fan, data acquisition system and
multiple experimental modules controlled by a touch screen interface. The wind tunnel has a
transparent test section with a cross-section of 125mm x 125mm and a maximum wind speed of 25 m/s.

-The wind tunnel has a built-in honeycomb structure in the nozzle of the converging section
(scaling ratio of 9.2:1) to ensure uniform and stable airflow through the test section. The
transparent test section allows students to observe and clearly understand the experimental
behavior. Air is exhausted from the wind tunnel by an adjustable speed fan, and there is a finger
baffle behind the fan to protect the operator.

-The built-in data acquisition system allows users to directly output pressure readings from the
pitot-static tube and pressure tap. It can also record lift and drag components in real time. Wind
tunnel accessories include different drag shapes and multiple NACA airfoils. The threaded
connection makes operation very convenient, allowing students to design their own test pieces for
testing and analysis.

-The wind tunnel test system also includes a smoke generator that can be used to create
streamlined smoke trails on the test object to visualize the flow pattern.
